And yet, trade of agricultural products from and within this region has been hindered by sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) issues. In this episode, we speak with food safety and SPS  expert Martha Byanyima, who leads the USDA Trade in Agriculture Safely and Efficiently (TRASE) project. Martha shares some key solutions to ease barriers to agricultural trade within — and beyond — East Africa.
