Land O'Lakes Venture37 is pleased to celebrate 2022 International Volunteer Day! As an organization that has been leveraging the generous support of volunteers for over three decades, we understand deeply the power of volunteering in creating solidarity across countries and populations.

We applaud all of the wonderful volunteers we have worked with in the past, those currently on assignment and all those who will be giving of their time and talent in the future. To highlight this wonderful work, here are a couple of vidoes that share the impact this volunteer program has made on both the volunteer and program participant.

In Bangladesh, the Farmer-to-Farmer program has provided financial and record keeping training to entrepreneurial women. The challenges are plentiful for women and are compounded when they are looking to start and grow a business. Venture37’s Farmer-to-Farmer program mobilized volunteer experts who provided training for 40 women entrepreneurs from the Khulna and Barishal regions of Bangladesh, helping them to expand their businesses and achieve greater profitability.

In this next video, four of the USAID-funded Farmer-to-Farmer program, implemented by Venture37, volunteers share their experiences on using their skills and expertise to help communities in Bangladesh, Egypt and Lebanon increase their agricultural productivity and competitiveness in emerging markets.

“I think volunteering is a wonderful opportunity for us to give of our time and our talents and to sharing the knowledge that we have, and it is a great opportunity for us to learn and to grow as well” proudly says Joel Biggs, Quality Manager and volunteer at Land O'Lakes Inc.

Since 1985, more than 20,000 Farmer-to-Farmer volunteers have supported over 136 million people by providing technical assistance in 116 countries.
